Remove your power to harddisk then remove the processor fan and the processor clean them with a cloth and apply a thin layer of heatsink solvent and fix the processor fan firmly on the socket then remove your memory card and restart your computer if you hear beep sound install the memory after cleaning and restart if still the system is not working change the memory if the system is not beeping while there is no memory change the processor with your freind that fixs the socket still you have problem the problem is with your motherboard
It sounds like you are not getting the POWER OK signal on the motherboard (indicated by the lack of a greed POWER LED and no "beep") - either a connection is bad or the power supply itself is bad. If you have a meter, you can check that the power supply is outputting all the correct voltages. Using the black wire as ground/common, check the other wires coming from the power supply to a disk drive-leave them connected to the drive and probe into the back of the connector. The red should have +5V, the yellow should have +12V. You can do the same at the motherboard connector and you should be able to find a voltage at every non-black wire (the exact numbers escape me at the moment, but there should in addition to the above be a -5V and a -12V also).
Also, check to make sure nothing is plugged in backwards on your drives- commonly, you will lose POWER GOOD if a disk drive is plugged in wrong- on almost all non-SATA drives, the red wire on the power connector faces the pin 1 stripe on the IDE data cable.
If you do not have a meter or are not sure about what I said, try this:
Try powering up with all of your drives unplugged and see if you can get to the BIOS startup- if it still will not come up, disconnect every other thing plugged into your power supply EXCEPT the motherboard (CAUTION: If you unplug the CPU cooling fan, do not leave your PC on more than 30 seconds or so to avoid overheating the CPU!) - if you cannot at this point get your green POWER LED to light, either the power supply is bad (most likely) or the motherboard itself is bad.
Plug one drive in and listen to it when you power up... does it sound like it normally does when it is starting? In tech talk, it is called initialization and uncaging, and the sound is easily recognized if you have heard it once on a working PC. If the noises are not there, the problem is probably the power supply.
Good Luck!
