My elliptical was making sounds and vibrating when the ramp was going up and down the last week or two. This morning, the ramp stopped going up and down completely. The display is still the same, I can still adjust the resistance, and when I try to adjust the incline, I can hear the motor, but nothing happens. Any ideas?
I feel the motor is fine at this point and a belt would be culprit to this issue and there should be two belts on this model if i am not mistaken. If you take it into a tech they charge around $45 per hour respectively the part might be a bushing or a loose or slipped belt in this case.
I hope this information does help and the accept button for my efforts.

Since you have been using it for a while and has not developed any problem lately, you can use this troubleshooting tips to check exactly what the problem is, by checking what might be the actual cause of it.
The main concentration is n the engine part which might be jammed maybe by any substance or particles that got into it some how.
You can Open the engine area and check, for anything holding it not to ramp.
First, Check power problems if the console on the elliptical machine does not light up. Make sure that the plug for the machine is secure in the outlet. If it is plugged in, ensure that the outlet is receiving power. Check the breaker to make sure it has not tripped off. Be sure that you are using the correct adapter that came with the elliptical machine. Because different adapters are able to handle differing amounts of energy, the wrong adapter will not transfer electricity like it should. If the adapter is pinched or damaged, this could also alter its effectiveness.
Make sure the correct adapter is being used if the resistance settings seem to be too hard or too easy. If the correct adapter is being used, reset the machine. To reset the machine, either switch the "On/Off" button or unplug the machine from the wall. Doing this will allow the device to reset itself to the default resistance. Turn on or plug the device back into the wall and retry all of the levels of resistance.
Do not be concerned if you see small particles left on the guide rails. Over time, the roller wheels gradually wear down. When this occurs, they leave residue on the rails. Because this is considered to be normal wear, all you need to do to fix the problem is wipe the rails off with a damp cloth.
Minimize the risk of receiving erratic readouts on the monitors by avoiding outside interference. For example, gripping the heart rate handlebars too tightly can affect the monitor. Similarly, the heart rate grips can be rendered less effective when there is too much vibration. Consider not holding these monitors throughout the workout to minimize vibration. The readouts also can be affected by jewelry. To minimize errors, take off rings and other jewelry before working out on an elliptical machine.
Note:
Dry or cold hands can alter how an elliptical machine measures your heart rate. Rub your hands together or use moisturizer to reduce the possibility of your hands affecting the readout.
You can also service the engine and i would advice before you tamper with it, if it has any guarantee on it, before anything, make sure you contact them first so that they can give you a replacement.
