My Elna 8600 won't quit stitching when I lift my foot off the foot pedal

My machine is a workhorse, but it won't quit stitching unless I lift the presser foot. Is it a computerized problem?

Sounds like it,, if it keeps happening I would have it checked

husband thinks it might be the reostat in the foot pedal. Sometimes it works like a charm, the next time, it gives me problems.

you can check to see if it can be repaired or see about buying a new one..
