My Emerson LD195emx TV is in service mode and I cannot get it out. I do not have the original remote for it, so I bought a universal remote, but I can't get it to work
I was trying to add a VCR to the TV when I must of pressed all the buttons on the bottom of it, and it blipped into factory mode.

Just visit the site linked here. You can get more details. Without its remote control, you can't release the factory mode. just try by pressing the 'Power' button on the remote control; once. Sometimes it might help you. If not, buy its original remote control and make it as a service remote control to proceed. Just follow the instructions at this site. With a universal remote control; you can't do anything related to service mode functions.
