My wife (it was her phone) had the same problem (noted above, 5/18) we tried rebooting the phone. nothing. we tried taking the battery out and starting it up again. nothing. we even tried *228 to reprogram the phone and update it. still nothing!
so she called Verizon support, and after being transferred to tier 2 support "they reset something on their end" and it was fixed. Not sure what she did with the phone to fix it, or what they did on their end. but after she got off the phone with them it was fixed. hope this works for everyone else.
