My Epson Stylus CX4200 will not print because my Cyan ink is out. I tried printing in black and white only but still won't print because of the one empty cartridge. Is there any way I can still print without the cyan ink? Thanks!
Purchase a YXD268 resetter for epson ic cartridges. it resets the chips on each cartridge so the printer thinks they are new :) works great until my resetter died today :(. I had it for over 4 years and it saved me tons of $$
I have a CX4800 and after clicking Print, I click Properties, then check Black ink only (is this how you are printing black and white - or is your document black and white) If you haven't tried this option - it is worth a shot.
I think you are stuck buying some new ink. This is where they make their money. I bought a Canon Pixma wireless printer for $50, it will replace my CX4800 as soon as I can't print B&W (colors are empty).
I figure it costs about $50 to replace the ink or to buy a new printer on sale (with wireless). It is sad that my old printer may go to the landfill because it is better to buy a new printer than just ink!
There was an email that said printer ink was the equivalent of $5,000 per gallon which is probably in the ballpark.I think you are stuck buying some new ink. This is where they make their money.
