This is a gas cozy wall furnace. Main prob. is that thermostat can be heard to click on but the furnace does not respond. I have replace thermostat three or four times now, so I am not thinking it is the problem. We did get one that had just the right elec. for this unit. Tenants put a paper clip in thermostat? and it did work a little? I do not want to buy a third wall furnace!

You may have a non electrical heat which uses a millivolt thermostat if you have a 24 volt stat will not work correctly.
