My fixed garage door opener opens fine, but only closes if it is held down. My remote garage door openers do not work at all. I replaced the sensors and they appear to work fine. I tried to reprogram the remote controls, but they were not responsive

If the sensor is working right, that leaves the downward force sensor tripping. First check for track obstrucions by manually moving the door with the lift disengaged. If door works without excessive force, then increase the force sensor of the lift a bit.
