First try with new batteries as power received will be less as the batteries gets older and so flashes might not be working well. Clean the metal contacts of the battery holder properly with dry cloth and then insert the new battery and check you are getting power to the camera. If you still face the problem, then inner conductivity is lost between battery terminals and circuit board. Another chance that there can be the problem with flash lamp. You need to take to service center to get it repaired.
