My Freezer on my Dometic DM2652 works perfectly but my fridge part does not even feel slightly cool. Voltage is going to everywhere it needs to go and everything else checks out
Hi, most refrigerator/ freezers are only controlled by one compressor (unless its a very expensive model). So if one is cold and the other isn't, it's normally a simple problem.
The refrigerator section gets the cold air from the freezer section via a duct, fan motor and a damper control. There is a air tunnel that goes from the freezer (usually in the back) to your fridge to provide cold air.
What probably happened is that the tunnel is blocked with ice or other liquid. The easiest thing to do is unplug the fridge for 24 hour so the ice can melt.
Thanks i've been doing some more reading on here about the problem. I'm thinking i have some debris in the duct. Its been hot as you know what here so i know its not the ice theory. I'm also going to take the back of the freezer apart and see what I can find there. My company rents out campers for the natural gas pipeline guys here and I have two campers with the same problem. So i knew it couldn't be something major. Thanks again! Thanks i've been doing some more reading on here about the problem. I'm thinking i have some debris in the duct.
