My garage door goes up then stops but if i lift on the door itself the opener will work all the way.... what could be stopping the door opener??? sensors are lined up

Sensors don't work on the way up. Check for a broken door spring. If o.k. remove the cover from the motor unit and check the drive gear. It is white nylon and will be obvious if it is going bad. If both of these are o.k. locate the 'up force' control on the rear of the motor unit and increase it about a quarter turn.
