My ge 30 gallon electric water heater keeps tripping the breaker. Home warranty plumber was out on Thursday - replaced element. Today breaker tripped again. Plumber said 250 volts were going into the water heater. It only needs 240. I asked him why that would be a problem since heater would only use what it needed. He said Home warranty company would not cover problem in this case. He went ahead and processed under warranty. Can you provide insight? Should I trust what he said and call electrician out before calling home warranty company again?
