My "GO" was bought feb, 2003, manual does not say if I need to use a certain speed to record a dvd. I've tried to use a Memorex 16x, 4.7GB, 120min, When I try to play it, it comes back with an error message.

Since it is 5 yrs old, would a slower speed work? I could use any help you can give me.
