My Hanns G LCD 19" Moitor issue
Hey there,
About two or three months back i bout this monitor from Novatech. In went home, rigged it up and it was fine. Picture, sound, everything was great.
However, now whenever i turn my computer on, the screen flashed up for about 1-3 seconds and then goes black. I can just faintly see the picture it is displaying if i get it in the light.
Is there any solution for this problem, or is the monitor up the creek?

Have you tried reseting the monitor to factory defaults, or pulling the plug, waiting then replugging it?
If you can see a picture in a dark screen, it means the backlight has blown. These are special bulbs that may be difficult to find, or fully generic, but you will need to open the monitor, disassemble the LCD panel to get to the bulb so you know which type of bulb it needs. This is a moderately difficult task with fragile elements to remove to get to the bulb.
If you consider the monitor as toast and will not have it professionally serviced, you have nothing to loose by working on it, if you are handy with electronic tools, to use as a repair and learning experience.
