My Hanns.g monitor 1080P HDM1 has a power problem, when it's turned on either by the power switch or when it's activated by the keyboard, it flashes on & off several times & then goes off, playing with the power switch can sometimes get it working. The power switch does not work @ all now, it flashes but doesn't come on but Individually resistance testing of the power switch found the switch functional
I have a HANNS G HG281D monitor and its worked great till recently. I have these weird lines that arent solit they look like staggered short white then black lines that go vertically up and down my monitor an inch apart. Sometimes on certain backgrounds it flickers like in the shape of rectangles and squares. Sometimes after ive been on it for awhile it will go blank ie black but the blue power light remains on. I can also hear the audio of my game through my speakers(separate speakers not the monitors speakers) then if i hold the power button it shuts off and if i turn it back on most of the time i can use it for quite awhile longer. How do i fix this or can i fix it?
Nfleurat, If nothing wrong with the "on"/"off" switch, then must be the "switch-mode-power-supply"/"CCFL inverter supply" circuit card inside of unit. Look for a possible "thermally intermittant solder connection" and then resolder it. Also, inspect unit for possible "swollen" electrolytic filter capacitors on power supply board. Read more of my responses to other owners in my FIXYA profiles for more options you can use to solve your LCD display problem. 12fixlouie aka louie12fix Good luck on the repair.
maragrace, If your monitor "acts" same if connected to fully booted "known good" pc that is running win-xp then monitor may need to have it's SMPS/CCFL inverter supply repaired. If monitor works well on win-xp pc, then it could be software problem in the win-7 pc. 12fixlouie

I am having the same problem as djpyro_lyric and the issue is very difficult to search due to its lengthy descriptive nature. I have "snow" in the form of white dots, forming vertical lines, about an inch apart. I also get the "blotchy" flickering effect with colorful rectangles and squares. Sometimes the monitor just goes "off" (black completely, no inverter glow, yet the blue indicator light is still on as if it is receiving signal properly). I don't have the clicking or audio speaker problem that some have, thank goodness. At first I thought there was some sort of major electrical interference but it's been suggested to replace the backlight inverter. Other solutions include uninstalling recent Windows 7 updates. Bleh.
