My headlights are not switching on. When i turn my knob only the brake lights and park lights switch on and on the dash there is an indication that my headlights are on beam though they are not even on. some mechanic guy just told me in passing that it could be the "switch" thats the problem. please help

I know it is very basic but try replacing one of the headlight bulbs and see if that comes on. The fact that the indicator shows leads me to believe it is not the switch. regards
