The filter on a Henry does not need changing (unless torn or damaged). It simply neeeds cleaning, either by vacuuming with another machines or brushing clean. For maximum suction, air must be able to flow through it. Next, change the bag. Finally remove hoses and pipes etc and switch on, the suction that you can feel by putting your hand against his "nose", is the same suction that you should feel when pipes are back on.
If it is not, then you will have a blockage, usually in the flexi hose, but drop a coin through in order to establish where.
