My Hoover will not turn on
I was using my Hoover spin scrub hose attachment to clean a spot on the floor. When I went to go back to use the vacuum the water tank was empty. I know there was some water left in that tank when I last used it. I pushed the power button and water began to come out through the bottom of the carpet cleaner the unit turned on for a few seconds then turned off and has not turned on since.

There was probably a leak in the hose/piping near the pump in the vacuum that shorted out the motor. you will need a new motor for the vacuum. you will also need a new pump assembly. i strongly recommend that you also replace all the internal tubing and places where the pipes join.
