My humidifier isnt working properly, it is not using any water
I have the sesame street humidifier that I just purchased and im having a problem with it. I got it out of town so im unable to return it to the store I bought it from so im kind of stuck. It runs, you can hear the moter running and it blows the air, the problem im having is no water is being put out with the air. Ive let it run for 2 different nights and the water level never changes. Ive checked to make sure the top is sitting in the bottom tight and changed to a different filter and still nothing. Is there somthing else I can try?

You need an Ohm Meter to check if your motor will take power. I just took mine apart after letting it dry out "Over-Night" (which = 4 days!). Then I placed a hairdryer (warm setting) on the humidifier vent. for about 45 minutes. You know what happened? Nothing! So I need a new motor that\'s all. Everything else is solid state (switches/lites); so it CAN get wet. But not the motor. You would dink Zey would invent an electric motor that can get a "Little" wet...Darling!

I have the same product, but am missing the removable tray. Do any of you still have it and want to give it to me? I have spent so much money over the years on humidifiers and I just want one to last me. I called the company and they do not have any!
Thanks,
Beth
I just got the same humidifier. It comes with a three year warranty. Their number is 1-800-0457 there return address is Katz, Inc. Att: Returns Department 250 Turnpike Rd. Southborough, MA 017772. Good luck
Make sure you soak the wic with COLD water and don't ring it out. Make sure when your putting the tank back in that you don't spill any water into the fan vent. If you get even a splash into the vent, it makes that awful loud motor noise. If this happens just let it dry out on it's own(over night). Also try cleaning the wic tray. It tends to get slimmy from the water sitting in it. If you ever see that your tank is empty, wet your wic when you refill it. Make sure you rinse and wet the wic EVERYTIME you refill the tank. The wic dries out fast and can start smelling pretty bad if you don't rine it regularly.
