My huskylock 936 is binding up
Can this problem be fixed by me or does it need to be serviced. After taking the bottom plate off i've cleaned the dust from the inside. the hand wheel turns a little better but not to the extent that it will sew freely. I hope the machine isn't shot! Thanks for any advice.

I've never seen one that couldn't be fixed. It is just a matter of finding the right technician to work on it. Binding in this machine is often in the upper shaft, either the bushings or in the linkage to the needle bar. If this is where your problem is you probably shouldn't try to do it yourself.
