My i-mate phone gives me troublesfails to recognize memory card,
My i-mate cannot indicate missed calls, cannot run some programs, cannot indicate backlight both on keypad and on screen. What should i do? soft reset has failed me and i am really stressed up. help me please. I am writing my exam and stress is not heathy for me now. it can show and run some programs but with dim light. this is quite unusual.It started two days ago.

First, you should backup your data. You should then download the latest firmware from i-Mate or your cellular provider (if available). You may need to unlock your phone if it is not unlocked.
Once the new firmware is installed, you should not have problems. Updating the firmware can be a lengthy experience. I would set aside 2-4 hours to upgrade and get your information back on.
A much faster method would be to hard reset the phone. If the problem persists, it is most likely a hardware issue with the backlight of the phone. It may need to be replaced.
