There are two main reasons for this fault. The first one is confused system control section. The second one is weak Laser Pickup Unit Assembly. Just reset the system first, to rectify if there is any system confution occured. To reset use the tip of a ball point pen to press the reset button hole, can be located at the front right corner of the player. After system reset, the unit will return to its factory default settings. If the reset is done while a DVD is playing the Dvd resumes play once the reset is complete. Check out if it helps you or not. If not, put a cleaning disc, and play it two or more times. If there is any dust accumulation on the lens of the Laser Picup Unit, this will rectify the probelm. If this also not rectifies the problem, the Laser Pickup Unit is defective, and needs replacent. Replace it with samy type and number. OK.
