My in72 projector started having red lines and red and green dots on the screen. it also said to replace the bulb. so i bought another bulb and replaced it and now the red lines are gone but the red and green dots are still there. when i look at the start up menu the image appears to be fine. i think i may have a setting wrong, but i reset the factory settings and it is still there. any ideas?
Hi Danexstrom, As you have already replaced the buld, I guess the problem may be with other things and please try out the below troubleshooting steps: 1. Connect your projector to any other source or any other computer and check if the same dots were shown. If not, then the problem may be with your present projector input source.
2. If still the dots were displayed even when connected to some other video source, then the prolem with may be with the projectors presently used input socket or with the settings for that particular connector.
3. try connecting to some other input connector present in your projector like HDMI, Composite, Svideo using any appropriate video output source like DVD player, PC, Camcorder, etc. If still the dots were displaeyed in any kind of input to the projector and with all the different video source, then there might some problems with the settings of your projector.
4. As you have already done a factory reset, the probability of having any hardware defects may be high and in such case you might need to call up the projector service person. Before that, try resetting to factory settings once again and try once.
