My Indesit WIXE 167 door shuts and locks but the display does not recognise it has locked and so the pogramme does not start, any of them. Have tried turning power off, etc
As mentioned by you the program controller board is not recognising the input from the switch. So I suggest that we confirm this inferance with a test. Use a multimeter to check the change of potential when the door switch is pressed in to lock. There must be a change of voltage as the door closes which can be checked. If the continuity is also checked it will be good to confirm the working off the switch. Once the switch produces the impulse , then it is important that the program controller should now begin the cycle, If not you mustt check the power supply of the controller, the input connectors, the leads and the functioning of the mP IC. The +5 voltage to the mP must be confrimed, the regulators must be checked. If there is no voltage trigger from switch , clean using a switch cleaning spray. If there is no result , change the switch. Make sure there are no wires which have come off from the switches, inputs, power.
The advice/tip given is with the belief that you are competent .You must attempt to do it yourself only if you are technically/logically able, especially when dealing with delicate devices, damaging while trying to open, Probing electrical/electronic circuits with high voltage or delicate components. Since the advice given by me is with the inputs provided and not based on a visual inspection, there can be further reviews required in some cases.
