My iphone keeps dropping my ip address and substituting it with another one which means I ca't get connected at home via my Netgear router (the other computers in the house have no problem so I know the router is ok and quite often I can connect using my phone but then the IP address changes and I can't get on line)

Go to Settings -> Wi-Fi -> then click on the small (>) to edit settings for that access point.
CLick on Static -> then input the IP you want your iPhone to attach to, for example.. IP Address: 192.168.1.5 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Router: (Blank) DNS: 192.168.1.1
