My Jukebox will not take the charge
I just bought a new battery old one wouldn't take the charge , new one won't charge either.
When I plug the charger in the unit works, will not work without the charger being plugged in.

There can be a problem with charging connector of the unit that probably is not loose and nees to be solder, that why you have ths problem, if you can take it to a service center and let them check the fix the problem that will be better because the unit may need to be dismantle and solder some parts on it or some parts to be replace..
Good luck........
Maybe you overcharge it and maybe the main problem is the device itself not the battery. if you can find anything to test those batteries and your device then try the two batteries from the shop that you bought it and see if it works.

You might need to shock the device in order for it to charge again the battery.. in cellphones there is a device to shock the device, i just do not know if there is a device for your player.

Hi kjgiants,
Given below are some measures that you should try:
First, make sure the you are using the correct power adapter. Discharge your unit completely, by playing music till the unit will no longer turn on. Charge your unit for 8 hours, and test.
Another reason could be:
Unit does not detect the battery and is running on AC power only. You need
to check and make sure that your battery polarity is correct making
sure that positive goes to positive, and negative to negative.
Thanks,.......
Hi,
If the battery isn't charging the problem is with the charger.
As you said the unit works fine with only the charger plugged in then polish the terminals of the unit with
a dry cloth and make sure the terminals are clean. If the terminals are
covered with oil from your skin or similar matter, this may cause poor
contact and battery power may not be fully supplied to the player
Also,
polish the battery charger terminals with a dry cloth before charging
the battery. If the terminals are covered with oil from your skin or
similar matter, this may cause poor contact and the battery may not be
fully charged.
IF you remove the battery does it function the same way? that would indicate that the battery is not connected into the circuit.. loose connection or broken wire.
if you have another charger you could test that, incase the charger is wornout and doesn't provide enough power to charge the battery.
also make sure the battery contacts are clean.
