My Karcher 530M runs ok until I release the trigger, but will not start again unless I leave the switch turned off and run the water through using the trigger for about 15 secs, then it will start again when the on/off switch is operated again. It continues to run provided left in operation. Alternatively, keeping the trigger pulled and the water flowing, the motor will start and stop ok when operating the on/off switch. When operating the pressure is ok and will run continuously

My experience is that the pump pressures prevent the engine from starting, so we hold the trigger while starting.
My brother has cut a wedge of wood that he uses to jam the trigger open to bypass the problem. It can get a bit wild if the wand is not secured when the unit is started..
