My Kenmore Series 80 top loader won't advance though any of it's cycles. Can't hear the timer motor running and the dial doesn't advance. It WILL, however, go into any mode I manually set it for (fill, agitate, empty, spin), but won't advance to the next mode. The fill cut-off works (it doesn't overflow), but it will agitate or spin forever on its own until I manually set it for the next mode. Timer?

Timer,your model number is under the lid toward the back,maybe you can find a cheap one on ebay,also the timer was a part number on it-mike
