My keyless remote entry for my 2001 mitsubishi galant stopped working so i replaced the battery and it still doesnt work. its a v6 if that matters

Inside your remote is a small flat driver slot this is a tuner ,start inside the car and gradually turn the dial and try the remote , this will tune the remote.,Does the light on your remote flash when you push the button?
