My Kidde Frynetics 1275 smoke alarms started going off intermittently. (Slower than when there has been smoke in the house from the oven). THere was no fire and no smoke. Not sure why?

Make sure to only use a brand name alkaline 9 volt battery. Don't use a used battery or a dollar store battery (bargain store). Then press the test button for 10 seconds to reset this unit and any more down the line.
