My kreepy won't move about. Even though the hose is vibrating, it doesn't move about. I just bought new hose so that isn't the problem. I have an 18x36 inground pool. Where should the ring weights be located on the hose?
Pool & Spa - Universal - Kreepy Krauly In-Ground Pool Cleaner
Worn out foot pad will keep the unit place due to excess suction, sitting closer to surface than normal. Compromised diaphragm will also be suspect, Both pieces are relatively inexpensive.
With these pool cleaners, there is a simple test you can do to see if your cleaner is weighted correctly. Turn the pump off and observe. The hose balance is correct when the cleaner's seal rests flat on the pool floor and the drive tube makes a 45 degree angle with the floor. Adjust the hose weights one inch at a time as needed until the proper balance is achieved. If the hose is too light, or rises toward the furface at an angle greater than 45 degrees, move the weights closer to the cleaner or move the first two weights closer to each other. If the hose is too heavy, less than 45 degree angle, move the weights away from each other.
