Is it overheating or just a gauge malfunction? Are you low on coolant? Check at coolant tank. If it is overheating, check for coolant leak at hoses. If no luck there, you might have a head gasket blown. Do you see white smoke coming from tailpipe? Do you see milky substance on dipstick or in coolant tank? These are signs that your head gasket has failed.
I had the same issue. Turned out to be the water pump/impeller; have the following checked: 1. Hoses-- Visually inspect for leaks (Squeeze hoses; No drips? Good!) 2. Radiator--Inspect for leaks (Squeeze water hoses; still dry on radiator and ground?Good!) 3. Pressurize the cooling system via radiator. (No leaks? Good!) 4. Check that coolant is circulating (My water pump was bad; impeller wasn't pushing the coolant. Replaced water pump and thermostat together.) Problem was solved...for me.
Hope this helps!I had the same issue. Turned out to be the water pump/impeller; have the following checked: 1. Hoses-- Visually inspect for leaks (Squeeze hoses; No drips? Good!) 2.
