My Lexmark x1240 won't print anything. I click on the print icon for whatever it is that I'm trying to print. Instead of getting the ''Printing Started'' confirmation, Windows (Vista) prompts me to save whatever it is that I'm printing, even though the documents I've been trying to print are already saved to my hard drive. It tries to get me to save it in .xps format(whatever that is. I have no clue). When I try to open the All-In-One Center, Windows says it's searching for the applications for first time use, even though I've used this printer several times without any problems. The software is installed, too. And, the printer acts like it's having trouble feeding the paper, and then the power button flashes like it would if it needed paper. Anyone know what to do?
Uninstall the printer and reinstall it if it says it is printing to your printer. under printers your printer should be set as default. test by selecting print from the menu. it should come up to a screen showing you which printer you are printing to.

You are better off here to replace the printer.
