My Makita DSS610 18v cordless circular saw stopped working mid cut. I changed the battery to another, fully charged, one but still nothing. Tried again the next day, with both batteries, still nothing. The light comes on, so I know power is there, but the motor won't run at all.

Did changing the brushes work? Mine done the same yesterday half way through a cut. The light comes on. Pulled it apart and nothing looks a miss and the brushes look like they have plenty left on them. Any help would be great before i start buying new parts that aren’t needed

Hello Derek, it seems that your motor or motor brushes have failed please contact the manufacture about replacing the motor brushes.
I thought Makita tools were more robust than that. They should be for the money they cost!!
did you end up getting brushes replaced and did this sort the problem
