My medion desktop powers up but will not go any futher. I have tried the repair disk to no avail. Can you give me some advice please. I am using a friend's laptop at present

The problem seems to be software problem as far as the system can load from the beginning but will not go further, i will advice you reload the operating system, since repair did not solve the problem, it means the operating system is corrupt or one or two files missing or perhaps damaged, so i advice you reload the operating system on your system, this will help solve the problem.

Hi Jumuah,tried the application and support disk twice and it goes as far as Ghost program then comes up recovery failed result = 1, 0 = 0, sectors 467431207 to 67431271

That means the recovery disc you are trying to load is corrupt, you will need to get a copy of another operating system to load on the system, in other to carry on. get another copy of the operating system.
