My mother in law gave me her everex step note laptop. She had quite a bit loaded onto the laptop. So I did a defrag on the laptop. then it crashed. I tried a system restart, but it reads, "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows cannot proceed." Can I reinstall windows vista home basic, from a disk, to correct the problem?
