forgotten passwords can be a pain however i know a method of removing them (legally and for free) First thing you need to do is dowload an ISO image for the UBCD4WIN (Ultimate Boot CD For Windows) and burn it to a CD using IMGburn or to a Blank USB stick using Rufus.
next pop the CD or USB into the PC and boot it, depending on your boot settings it should boot first if not press (F2.F10,DEL,F1) for the bios setup and Set the CD drive or USB device as the first boot device. Alternatively pres (F8,F12) for your Boot menu and Select your DVD Drive or USB disk And boot into "Parted Magic" and follow it as so:
Select "Live Settings 32 Run from ram" if asked and wait for it to reach a windows like environment
click on the start button and select "System tools" and click on "PC login now"
a dialog should come up and click next select your operating system (windows 10) select the password locked user and check the box that says "password is empty" and make sure it is set to "password never Expire"
now wait while the program does everything for you at the end it may prompt you if you want to edit another user select "no" and exit the program it may say your computer will restart but sometimes this doesnt work if it doesnt select "start" and "logoff" and press reboot when the logout dialog comes up take the time to eject any CDs or USBs when it is shutting down (remove USB after power off) and turn the computer back on it should boot straight to the desktop and you have removed your password!
