Evidently the "OP" code indicates the lid is "open". Solution in my case: I had to replace a wire on the lid switch that a had rusted and no longer connected to the switch resister.
There is a magnet in the left, front corner of the plastic lid insert. When the lid is closed, this magnet sets on top of the tan colored plastic pad on the left front top of the base washer unit. When the lid is closed, the magnet activates two, small metal rods on each end of a resister within the white. You have to pop up the top of the washer base to gain access to the switch, Good luck,
