Try booting into safe mode by pressing F8 repeatedly while booting. Depending on how your system is setup you will either have to type administrator or just click on it. Most computers are setup with no password on the administrator account. If this does not work you could try a password reset program or a reload.
Check if Caps lock is on. If there is a local administrator account you can sign on with instead, try that. If this is a work laptop you've taken home to use, it may be looking for your work's wireless network.

don't type any password and hit enter or click on log in it will work only if you are using Windows XP on some vista computer the administrator account is disabled by default
