My old pump has the brown and blue wires connected
I am installing a replacement water collection pump to the humidifying system attached to the blower. The old pump has the brown and blue wires connected opposite of how the new pump came wired. What should I do? change the new one or go with it as it is The old pump was installed at the same time as the whole heater and a/c system was by a competent professional specializing in heating and cooling. I trust his work as it has held up to the test of time in addition to all the early indicators of professionalism like clean work, respect of my home, follow up availability, etc. The pump I am installing is a Little Giant VCMA-15ULS aka item number 554405. I am one who reads instructions 1st then again while installing. I have read these a dozen times and they are dreadful. The information about the safety switch is even worse and doesn't match the original either. The old unit seemed to be wire through the safty swich but used the NO post to bypass the functionality of it as I do not have an audio alarm. The new pump is not wired through the switch. Am correct in associating the term alarm with audio? Will the pump work without the switch in the circuit? And should I leave it wired as it came from the factory or change it to match the one I am replacing?
