Remove the bottom plate under the vacuum and check the brush assembly for being stuck. Remove the belt from the motor and try to start the machine--does the motor spin and have vacuum? This machine is not a wet-pickup type vacuum. If the motor now runs, remove the brush assembly and remove the end bearings. Clean the brush in hot water and dry off. Clean the outer bearing interiors with a Q tip swab wet with hot water, then another to dry them out. Use a third to apply a small amount of light machine oil (3in1, or sewing machine oil) to the brush ends and the bearing interiors. Reinstall the belt and turn the machine on--hopefully, this will get it working again. Good luck!
