My optoma dv10 movietime projector is making a buzzing noise. I am using a different power cord since i can't find the original cord. could this be the problem?

If the cord is too loose, you'll have arcing, but it'll sound like crackling. if the buzzing is from inside, it may be the colorwheel motor breaking down. it'll need to be replaced.
