My packard bell easynote laptop gets quite hot, when the fan kicks in it's blowing hot, and i cannot leave it on my lap for too long, when the fan stops the laptop still feels hot, are there any settings to adjust the fan. If possible please e-mail any answers thanks BARRY [email protected]

If you have the skills to do it you'll need to access the fan(s) and clean out all the dust and dirt that has collected in them. I acquired a compal notebook that kept shutting down because of heat. visually it looked fine in the fan area. it wasn't till i removed the fan covers that i found about a half inch of dust and cat hair next to the heat sink... once that was removed it barely heats up.
I have noticed that some laptop fans don't come on till close to meltdown. My dell laptop was like that. sometimes the only solution is to get a laptop cooler pad to sit the laptop on.
