My Palm Pixie keeps saying I have too many cards & to toss some away to make more room. This started after I downloaded only 2 applications. I can't open anything now without it popping up. What do they want me to get rid of & how?
Officially - the manual says to "throw off the top" extra "cards" (I still call them 'windows' sometimes).
But I usually get it too when I only have one app open.
Tips: RESET -- HIT (FUNCTION) + (SYM) + (R) (that's the white button under the letter 'A', the sym button and the letter 'R'
Like I have to tell you what you know if you own a pixi. IT TAKES FOREVER JUST TO REBOOT! But it usually does the trick.
also:
Tip: go into the browser setting from time to time and clear both the cache and history to free up Ram to keep down the number of times it happpens.
TIP: THIS IS WHAT I PERSONALLY (more like finally) REALIZED .... The apps downloaded via the built in app store app - MEANS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN TERMS OF ASSURANCE THE INDEPENDENT BUILT APP IS NOT GOING TO INTERFERE WITH YOUR PHONE'S SYSTEM!
Then even when you uninstall what you can only guess is the problematic app, it leaves wesOS version of "registry entries" that will stil mess up your phone.
If it is really bad, you can do a FULL WIPE/RESET/PURGE. It sounds like a scary thing and sure loss of style="display:none;">Officially - the manual says to "throw off the top" extra "cards" (I still call them 'windows' sometimes). It sounds like a scary thing and sure loss of data .... but I just had to do it - and I was amazed how it restored EVERYTING (not all, but it did bring back some pics and things I had long deleted). It takes a long time for the palm profile to automatically restore all the data ...... but in all honesty, the full restore process time didn't seem any long than the initial normal BOOT time you have to do first before actually restoring. Check the app reviews for people who say the app crashed their phones. I wouldn't download it if it had any sort of problem reviews. Good luck. All is not lost ... Although I know it feels like you world is gone .... I just went through it..... Darn these phones. They are more addictive than crack ! :)
