My pantech matrix was working fine but it said that my battery power was low and 3 seconds later it died then when i put my second battery in and turned it on the screen was white so i turned it off and back on again then it was black! the keys light up i can call people and listen to music i just cant look at text messages because the screen is black

Many users of the Pantech phones have been experiencing the same thing. There are a lot of default in this phone. I would suggest you to return it to Pantech and try to get a software upgrade (if there is!). Although, I would recommend you NOT to use it. Even if the Pantech exchange it for a new one, the same problem will happened in a day or two.
