My PC will only turn on for 1 second and then shuts down. I've disconnected everything such as fans, hard drives. I put on a new power supply box and CMOS battery. Can the switch in the front be faulty?

Is your computer plugged-in to a power bar?
If yes kindly disconnect it from there, then try to plug-in your computer's power cable directly to a wall outlet, you can also try other wall outlets, if this one will still not work, there might be a problem already with the motherboard.
I also encountered this problem before.
