My phone says that my SIM card is off and to turn it on. Why won't it let me?
I just put a new sim card in and it is saying that it is off but my carrier activated the card how can i fix this problem

Double check with the carrier. Also take a known working sim card and throw that in there. Will that one work? If it does the problem lies with the original sim card.
Perhaps the card itself is corrupt and needs to be replaced with a new one - check that out also.
So if you have done all those things then you should know whether or not the anomaly is with the card or the phone and all you have to do is act accordingly.
