What source are you using? Cable Box? Cable tuner? DVD? Computer?
Most of the time your TV's remote will have a button that says "Aspect" or "View Mode" or "Zoom" they can stretch zoom and distort the screen and cause this.
If it is a DVD or Set Top Box you may have to go into the menu or set-up screen and change the aspect ratio to that of your TV.
Let me know if that helps, any more details would be great.
What if they have no aspect functionality and the zoom presets are still too distorted. What if they have no aspect functionality and the zoom presets are still too distorted.
