My Poulan will start up but then when I try and give it more throttle it dies or even when I let off the throttle to idle it will die. Is this fuel line o dos the carb. need to be cleaned? How do I access these parts if so. New to fixing a chainsaw.Thanks!

It sounds very like a fuel issue, before diving into remove the carb check the easy stuff first, drain the fuel tank and fill with fresh fuel, pull the fuel hose out and check the condition of the filter on the end,any doubt replace it, check the condition of the fuel hose up to the carb for cracks or signs of age.
