My previous shredder was supposed to be oiled frequently. The Royal PX1000M instructions say not to use certain oils, but didn't say whether to lubricate it at all, and if so, what to use. Please advise how to take care of it. Thanks

If it is a x-cut shredder then it will not hurt( infact it is advisable) to occassionaly shred a sheet of paper with some shredder oil on it.
How frequently....the more you shred the more you should oil it.
